We had a very important day of learning and information about how to use the internet safely. ‘Safer Internet Day 2022’ is held across Europe to inform and empower children, young people and adults in how best to interact and protect themselves when online. It celebrates the many wonderful benefits of using the internet while bringing attention to dangers and how best to protect against them. All classes spent time exploring lessons provided by Webwise, the internet safety group. First to Sixth Class designed their own internet safety posters and all pupils received a special Safer Internet Day wristband.

As all of our pupils will be back from this coming Monday, we remind parents that pupils returning must have a signed ‘Return to Educational Facility Parental Declaration Form’. This form is attached to this post and can be found in the ‘Policies/Documents’ area of the site also. This form must be filled out on return from every absence for the remainder of the school year. Check out our Twitter Feed to see some helpful videos for pupils and parents ahead of Monday’s full reopening. Return to Educational Facility declaration form (2)
Our 5th and 6th pupils are looking forward to undertaking the Cycle Right course this coming week. Price of course is €5 per pupil.
To celebrate all of our wonderful pupils returning to school this Monday, 15th March, and to say ‘well done’ for all of the hard work they have put in online since January, we will hold our annual Lá Glas (Green Day) this coming Tuesday, 16th March. We ask all our pupils to find and wear whatever green items of clothing they have at home and if they can, dress up like they will be part of a St. Patrcik’s Day Parade. Each class will have a party in their room so bring two treats and a drink. Beidh spóirt agus spraoí againn! Lá Glas Poster
